Vice-President Shireen Farrahi and Treasurer Patti Pulliam represented PKSCA at the City of Portland’s annual Sister Cities Reception on June 8, 2023, at Portland City Hall. Shireen Farrahi presented PKSCA’s annual report to the Portland City Council in chambers. This year’s event was the first following the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Following welcoming remarks by Mayor Wheeler a lively group of visiting sister city delegations and other luminaries from near and far convened to witness a signing ceremony between Portland and all nine of its sister cities as well as with its friendship city of Lviv, Ukraine. Several sister city associations, including PKSCA, are marking their 35th anniversaries this year.
